Description:
Very nice Custom Mod 70 made by and for a now deceased Gunsmith who was well known here in Washington State. The wood is exceptional and the stock features a longer length of pull for a taller shooter. The action has a couple extra holes on the rear receiver bridge, but those can be cleaned up by a gunsmith or you can get fill screws put in the holes you dont use. Gun has some light engraving to include the initials RJ on the grip cap. This is an early mod 70 action with the early safety. I find the serial number to be very interesting as it is 7037, and If I have it figured right...this model 70 was made in 1937 too...so 7037. Bore is great and photos speak for themselves. We also have a 375H&H listed by this same gunsmith. They are a nice set.// PB Collection
