If you are looking for a good solid stainless steel shooter this would make a good one. The Smith & Wesson Model 64-3 were made between 1970 and 1988. This one is serial number AFL7799, making it's date of manufacture sometime after 1980. This Model 64 is all original and shows some use. This revolver has some light scratches and nicks in the stainless finish, but this 64-3 Smith works perfectly and the bore looks excellent. There are no pits or signs of erosion whatsoever in the 4 inch barrel. The action is smooth in single or double action use, and when at full lock there is zero play in the cylinder. It locks up as tight now as the day it left the factory. These heavy barreled Model 64s are great house guns and are pleasant to shoot as well. If you have been looking for an affordable Model 64 that you can carry and shoot this would be an excellent choice.
