Description:
Listed for sale is a original Remington New Model Police revolver which has been converted by the factory to 38 rimfire.  It is  all original and is in very good condition. I believe that these guns were produced between 1863 and around 1873.  Some very minor pitting in places and minor finish loss on the right side of the barrel compared to the left side. Bore is a little  dark with a little pitting which I have been told is normal for a revolver this age. Mechanically it works fine. It has serial number of 7223 on the frame and the conversion cylinder is marked 2300. These are somewhat rare and this would be a good addition to someone's collection.  I have never fired it and it needs to be inspected by a gunsmith if you have any plans on shooting it.
