Description:
Beretta S3 EELL sidelock Over/Under shotgun, built in 1960. 12 gauge, 28 3/8" barrels, choked M/IM, vent rib, with excellent bores and bluing, single trigger & ejectors. Weighs 7 lbs 4 ozs, stock dimensions are 13 7/8" x 1 3/8" x 1 3/4". The engraving is typical deep ornamental engraving signed by S. Tononcelli. A few screw heads have been turned an are a little out of time, but none damaged. The forend is a target type forend, of nice wood; the buttstock is fancier wood than normally seen on these guns, and looks like it has been slimmed-down from original, and lengthened with a spacer and pad. Buttstock has also suffered a couple of cracks: one next to the trigger guard, and one from the tang down into the wrist. Both cracks were professionally pinned and epoxied, and ready to shoot.
