Description:
Winchester model 1890 in 22 short made in 1906. This would be one of the first of the 3rd model series. Overall this gun is tight and functions perfectly. The barrel, bolt and receiver retain 85% plus of the original blue. The bore is good plus and would probably clean up nicely. There are a couple of places at the back of the barrel that look like someone tried to unscrew it. This could be dressed up. The wood is probably original. The buttstock has an old repair at the wrist. I don't believe the wood has ever been sanded. The trigger guard is from an early second model 1890. It more than likely was replaced when the stock was damaged. Still, this is a very good, fun shooter. With that parts worth more than the price.
