Description:
Winchester model 1876 rifle in 45-60 caliber.Built in 1887,this rifle has a 28" octagon barrel with a mint bore.The rifling is sharp and there is no rust or pitting,just a mirror bore.The rifle is in excellent condition retaining 70% of the original blue finish.All roll marks are sharp and the action is smooth.The hammer and lever still retain traces of case color.The wood is very sound with no cracks or gouges.The stock has a crescent butt.The trigger is an optional set trigger and is verified by the factory letter.This is an outstanding original example of the 1876 rifle.Classified as an antique.
