Description:
THis is a very nice collectible Sharps Single Shot Pistol, Small Frame , First Model,.31 Caliber. Has a 5" barrel, with a strong five grooved, barrel. Bore is very good.  Metal is all brown to plum patina. Light freckling on some areas. Action is strong and everything works like it should. Has small blade  front sight and groove rear sight. Has a single adjustible trigger. Has Walnut grips with  some  of original varnish remaining. Grips show handling marks but are solid with no losses. Serial number #144 is marked on lever and on the backstrap. It is, also marked, in an oval panel, on left sidplate: "SHARPS PATENT / ARMS MFRD / FAIR MOUNT / PHILA. PA. ". These were made for only one year. Period of production 1855 to 1856. I accept USPS Money Orders or Bank Cashier's Check.
