Description:
Mannlicher Schoenauer in caliber 6.5x57 with the factory claw mount and scope. This rifle was made in 1939 after Germany had taken over Austria and the Steyr factory. They didn't make many sporting rifles but the few they did they stamped "Made in Germany" on the receiver where it usually said "Made in Austria". Not only is this one of the few they made it's also in an extremely rare factory caliber 6.5x57, most Mannlicher Schoenauer rifles pre war and post war are in 6.5x54. The 6.5x57 is and excellent flat shooting caliber, very close to a 257 Roberts. This rifle is all factory original including the cleaning rod in the trap door butt plate.
