Description:
Winchesters Model 1892 Sporting Rifle with factory 24 inch Octagon Barrel. This example is chambered in the popular .32/20wcf. The serial number is 908XXX placing date of manufacture in 1920-21. Overall condition is excellent with 95-97% of the original factory untouched finish. The bore is perfect and will rate a 10 on a 1 to 10 scale. Very little evidence of use. Wood to metal fit is perfect and sits "proud" at all metal contacts. The lower right tang has a period repair to a hairline crack. The repair is sufficient however can be cleaned up a little. The finish on the wood has a very pleasant cherry tone often seen with the deluxe wood. The receiver has retained 75-80% of its original factory blue with the reminder "Flaked" as normally found with the Winchester rifles made during this period of time.
