CLASSIC BIG NEW SERVICE .45 COLT CALIBER, 5 1/2" BARREL, 320XXX, #MADE 1924, fine example of Colt's largest double action revolver, unaltered front sight, exc. markings, fine blue on the frame, grip straps and trigger guard, sides of the barrel show some blue thinning from holster carry with the top and bottom showing good blue, small nick on the bottom of the barrel ahead of the ejector rod- small and hardly worth mentioning, exc. screws, nice fire blue on the trigger and back of the hammer, some light thinning/ageing of the blue on the outside of the cylinder, fine grips with a couple of tiny outside edge chips or flakes that are very shallow and go nowhere, lanyard ring intact, very tight action and exc. bright bore, these superb double action pre-war Colts are becoming increasingly hard to find and prices on even mediocre examples are rising rapidly.
