PARTICULARLY FINE CONDITION 1876 .45-60 CALIBER, 28" ROUND BARREL RIFLE, #56XXX, MADE 1885, one of the better 1876s I've seen in a while, this one retains fine barrel and magazine blue that is only very lightly aged and starting to mix with a bit of plum- most of the blue remains, the receiver also shows fine blue that is lightly mixing plum and has brighter blue in all the more protected areas, original dust cover, exc. blue on the loading gate, even the forend retains fine blue, exc. markings, exc. stock and forend with very tight wood to metal fit, uncleaned mellow brass lifter is caliber marked, lever catch intact, has the standard blade Winchester front sight with the desirable optional "sporting rear ladder sight" that looks like a longer carbine sight and is marked "1876" on the top part of the ladder with slide intact, tight action, fine bore with only light scattered roughness that might scrub out better, this is a really fine unmessed with and uncleaned 1876 in a desirable caliber that still retains a great deal of blue.
