Specially Built Sidelock Ejector Heym, for Professional Hunter Mark Sullivan of Nitro Express Safaris. After twenty-seven seasons as a PH in Tanzania, Mark knows whats needed to withstand the harsh environment, and that his stopping rifle has GOT to be big and reliable. Since the British Best version costs more than many single family homes, this was an interesting departure. Crafted in the British style, this 13 pound full-load 577 Nitro sports 23-3/4" barrels, H&H clone cheekpiece and extended top tang, 14-1/2" pull, 2-1/4" drop, and balances 2-1/2" ahead of the hinge pin. Additional features include bolstered frame, gold line in "wide vee" standing sight, articulated front trigger, gold oval, ejectors that can be switched-off (see: John Taylor, African Rifles and Cartridges") and the customary Silvers Recoil Pad. Having served well for several years, this rifle is back in the States and available for sale. Barrel black was recently professionally refreshed so appears as-new, and the rifle was cleaned and serviced and is in excellent shape.
