Consigned to Treys Clays Inc is this wonderful Mannlicher Schoenauer Model 1961 MCA in .270 Winchester. The rifle bears serial # 53363. This rifle was purchased for the present owner as a gift in 1967 by his father in law while assigned to duties in Austria. It has no importer marks and the receiver has not had any additional holes drilled for scope mounting. The barrel is 19-inches if measured from the face of the receiver or 21-inches depending upon how you measure. The barrel retains the original factory express Single trigger is crisp and the bolt operation, like all the rifles of this era is butter silk smooth. The removable rotary magazine is obviously the work of the highest qualified machinist and is machined specific for each caliber. The rifle is fitted with a Swarovski Optic 6x36 Nova scope in Redfield base. Bore is perfect and rifle is a consistent sub inch to 1-inch grouping rifle. Sling is included and the recoil pad is a Pachmayer Old English style. The full length stock has a length of pull of 13 ½ to 13 3/5 inches. The wood is near flawless.
