MAUSER C96 or 1896 MODEL BROOMHANDLE 7.63 SEMI-AUTO PISTOL. Serial number "845100". Mauser banner stamp on frame. "Waffenfabrik Mauser Oberndorf" on barrel with crown over "U" proof. Importer stamp on trigger bow (A.A.A.- Rutherford, NC) probably from around mide 1980's along with importer refinish job and replaced grip panels. Cut for stock original. Bore good with shallow lands and grooves with slight pitting at chamber. Perfect working order. Most of these mid 80's imports were brought in from China who were huge fans of the Broomhandles and as well as ordering thousands from Europe they made their own on various arsenals around China from early 20th century through the 1930's. Very nice refinished example that functions perfectly.
