Texas Confederate Alteration of a Hall rifle. From the renown Ben Michel collection and pictured in the catalogue. Mr. Michel states that the gun was recovered in Texas. These types of alterations have a somewhat crude hammer brazed to the base of the original flintlock hammer and the nipple screwed in to the old pan leaving the rear fence intact.
