Due to Government regulations enacted during the Clinton administration, Norinco firearms are no longer imported into the United States from China. The Norinco 1911A1s earned a reputation for being well made and reliable handguns, and have become sought after by both collectors and shooters alike. They were imported into the U.S. starting sometime in 1989 or 1990. The frames were forged, and the slide were machined from very hard bar stock alloy steel. This is a fairly early example, serial number 301338, and is in excellent overall condition. It appears to be 100% original with all of the factory original parts. It retains 95%+ of the original factory blue finish, with only some high edge wear on the slide and some slight thinning of the finish on the grip straps/mainspring housing. The bore is bright and minty in this pistol. The rifling looks sharp, and there are no signs of pitting or erosion. The slide to frame fitment is nice and tight with no slop, and the slide cycles without any roughness. The checkered plastic grip panels are also in excellent shape showing no wear, with no cracks or repairs. The factory sights are a standard 3-dot fixed type with a staked front sight. Everything works 100% like the day it left the factory. You cannot find a better 1911 .45 for this price!
