Description:
REDUCED -- This is an honest old Model 1876 Winchester, with round barrel and full magazine tube, ladder rear sight and express front sight. Bore and chamber are very good condition and very shootable - stock and forearm are original and without any major flaws but do show minor handling marks with the finish mostly worn. Receiver shows some original blue but most metal has drifted into a nice patina, with blue only in protected places. Rifle is fully functional and appears to have seen careful use over the years, as action is tight and screw heads are not destroyed, etc. The original buttplate shows some deep pitting along with nice brown patina, perhaps from moisture, but all in all a nice and very honest 1876. Serial No 47,514.
