Description:
A very nice J P Clabrough hammer gun in 8 Ga and with 34 inch barrels with very good to excellent bores and chambers. Wood is original and a bit fancy for these old 8 Ga guns, with most original finish, etc. Barrels are marked Laminated Steel and have been rust blued - they may be damascus but sure look to be fluid steel as I cannot detect any pattern whatever, even on the underside. Gun has been well taken care of and if you are looking for a nice example of an 8 Ga gun then this one is for you. Weight is 11 lbs 14.6 ounces. LOP 14 inches, Drop (Heel) 3 inches, Drop (comb) 2 inches, Cast (Off) 1/16 inch. From our best estimates this gun was made around 1890.
