Description:

WWI UNIT Marked GERMAN Dreyse Pistol & Holster

SCARCE WWI-Issued Handgun in WWII Dated Holster!

Here we present a Dreyse 1907 Pistol and holster, made circa 1914 in Sömmerda, Germany. This pistol was designed by Louis Schmeisser to be a striker-fired, blowback pistol, chambered for .32 ACP, with a magazine capacity of 7. The shape of the pistol somewhat reflects the Browning FN 1900. These were originally made for the commercial market, but were issued amongst the Imperial German military during World War I, especially amongst officers and rear echelon troops.

This example bears German commercial proof marks, and is accompanied by an original leather holster that is marked “L.Z.St./J.Lpz.”, which is an abbreviation for “Leichtflugzeug Sammelstelle Intendantur Leipzig”, which translates to “Light Aircraft Collection Commissariat Leipzig”. Here is a pistol rig that was issued to early air forces in Germany!

The overall condition is very fine. The original blue finish is 97%. The markings are clear and legible. The serial numbers match, including one of the magazines. The other is not numbered. The grips are near fine. The bore is clearly rifled and clean. The action is strong.

This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Nothing else like it found worldwide!

Barrel is 3-5/8 inches in length.

Caliber: .32 ACP (7.65x17mm Browning)

The bore is in fine condition and the action is strong.

Overall condition as seen in photos.

Here is an exceptional example of a Dreyse Pistol and Holster rig that traces its service back to the early days of the German air force.
