Description:

RARE Nazi RZM Marked Walther PPK Pistol & Holster

WWII Sidearm w SS Marked Holster Rig

Here we present a Walther PPK, made for World War II circa 1938, in Zella-Mehlis, Germany. The PPK (Polizei Pistole Kriminal) was a direct descendant of the slightly larger PP (Polizei Pistole). The PPK was a smaller handgun designed for concealment for detectives, and it featured a capacity of 7 instead of 8 when chambered in .32 ACP. When WWII began, many different organizations within the Nazi Party and outside made use of these handy and reliable pistols.

This pistol and holster are marked “RZM” which was an acronym for ReichsZeugMeisterei, the primary quartermaster for the Nazi Party (NSDAP/ Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei/National Socialist German Workers‘ Party). This final iteration was established in 1934, though the concept was first put into practice in 1928. The organization was created to manage acquisition and distribution of the infamous brown shirt uniforms that were worn by the Sturmabteilung or SA, and soon moved to authoritatively control quality and acquisition over entire industries. The RZM headquarters was in Munich, with other offices in other cities for control, acquisition and distribution.

The RZM marking on the pistol is very scarce, and it is said that RZM marked PPKs were given to those called “Political Leaders”. The holster is also marked with the double lightning bolts of the SS or Schutzstaffel. An “Eagle/WaA201” Waffenamt is stamped above the other markings. This holster is in very good condition. This pistol features the “Crown/N” proof marks that were used prior to 1940, when the proof was made an “Eagle/N”. The original grips are brown brindle with the Walther banner.

The overall condition of this pistol is fine. Markings are clear and legible. Serial numbers match. The magazine is unnumbered. The one piece grip has a hairline crack on the right side, but is otherwise very good. The bore is clean and well-rifled. The action is strong.

This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic.

Barrel is 3-1/4 inches in length.

Caliber: .32 ACP (7.65x17mm Browning)

The bore is in fine condition and the action is strong.

Overall condition as seen in photos.
