This is a 1924-manufactured rifle that retains 80-85% of the original blue on the barrel, while the frame has flaked to an overall mottled gray patina. The walnut forend and buttstock have a nice, added varnish over small handling marks and blemishes, as well as a fairly long, with-the-grain crack on the left rear of the forend. The mechanism is still tight, and the action functions flawlessly. This is a nice, honest example of a Winchester '03, and rates very good-fine condition overall.
