Description:
A converted .22 cal. trainer serial # am 1013, .22 caliber , 25.2" barrel bright clean bore. This rifle has been converted from .303 to .22 for the purposes of training. The bolt head is stamped ".22 No. 2C" the top of the barrel is stamped "P" below "Parker-Hale, Birmingham." This rifle has leaf-type graduated rear and open blade with protective wing front sights. The stock shows many blemishes, creases and dings from handling and wear, though in solid shape. This also has sling swivels and a canvas sling. This piece is dated 1918 on the barrel breach and was probably originally converted at that date. The bolt and frame are matching the am prefix in the serial # may indicate that the conversion was completed for the air ministry by Parker. FFL or C&R
