Description:
30” Nitro steel barrels with 2 ¾” chambers, choked .036 right and .037 left. Single plane concave rib with a single gold bead. Right barrel is marked L.C. SMITH SPECIALTY GRADE and the left is marked HUNTER ARMS CO. INC. MFR’S FULTON, N.Y. USA. The barrels have been reblued and retain 95% finish. Bores are bright and shiny. The receiver and side plates have the typical Specialty Grade engraving. The trigger guard is engraved with a scroll pattern. The receiver, sideplates and forend iron retain 70% case color with the normal areas showing wear from handling. The trigger guard retains 85% original bluing. This gun has a Hunter One selective, mechanical trigger, non-automatic safety and ejectors. The nicely figured pistol grip stock is point checkered at 20 lines per inch that wraps over the grip. It may have had varnish added at one point and has a few light handling marks and dull areas. There are light cracks at the rear of both side plates. It has a hard rubber grip cap and a London Guns recoil pad. The forearm is point checkered at 18 lines per inch, suggesting a replacement. It is in excellent condition. Length of pull is 14”, drop at comb is 1 5/8”, drop at heel is 2 3/4”. Weight is 7.8 lbs. Both barrels will fire individually when selected but will not fire consecutively. Ejectors work correctly.
