Description:
Master Engraved and Gold Inlaid Kurt Horvath Signed Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle with Scope
375 H7H Mag ... 25" round barrel ... LOP 13 1/2" ... Weight 11 lbs
Manufactured in 1954 and subsequently custom embellished. This elaborately engraved rifle features a ramped beaded blade front and four leaf (three folding, one standing) fixed express style rear notch sight with gold inlaid sighting lines. The receiver bridge and engraved quarter rib are fitted with scope bases and a Leupold VARI-X III 1.5x5 scope. The receiver features flourishes of floral and scroll engraving. The custom floor plate and trigger guard are also engraved and features a highly detailed, gold inlaid tiger's head in the center. The lower tang is signed "K HORVATH" just behind the trigger guard screw. The bolt handle knob has been engraved with semi-relief scroll. Very fine as master engraved and gold inlaid by Kurt Horvath. Displaying some light handling marks overall, clear markings, and fine engraving. The bolt displays moderate cycling wear.  Mechanically excellent. The optics are clear.

Mounted on a multi-point checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with a blue steel grip cap and solid Decelerator recoil pad. The wood is very fine with crisp checkering, some small scattered pressure marks, and the added recoil pad.
