#17085, Westley Richards Hand Detachable Ejector (Droplock) 470 N.E. with "C" Bolting Dolls Head Third Fastener, Completed for an Indian Maharaja in October of 1911, Original & correct 21" shoe lump barrels and so lettered by Westley Richards, 1/4 rib with 1 standing & 1 folding rear sights, Westley style spring actuated fold over sight protector with a fold-up night sight, Barrels by Harry Lilly and so initialed, Modern 1975 Birmingham proved at 14 tons, Hinged cover plate, Double triggers, Bushed strikers, Top tang bolted safety, A very nice piece of wood with excellent color and contrast with deep black and brown contrast, Shadow line cheekpiece, Checkered side panels with drop points, Engraved trapdoor steel grip cap with a spare front sight, Deeley & Edge forend release, Forend with a horn tip, 14 3/8" LOP over a 7/8" Silvers pad, 10 lbs. 1 oz., 98% engraving coverage of scroll engraving with 1 fairly large vignettes with an Elephant on the cover plate plus a Rhino on the trigger guard, The barrels reblacked & I presume it was done by Westley when it was modern proved as later this gun was brought to our shores when Westley had an agency in Springfield, Missouri, They now retain 98% blue, 90% case colors that appear to be original, It retains 98% case colors on the standing breech and action flats, The butt and forend have been re-oiled and now at 90%, The checkering is at 80%, The bores are very good plus, The whole is cased in a vintage brass cornered oak & leather trunk with 3 original trade label and some accessories, The case appears to be the original trunk. /////////////////////////////////// After all this Bailey Bradshaw from Diana, Texas installed 2 extra sets of barrels to this Westley frame. One a 375 Flanged Magnum set and the other a 20 bore set of barrels. The 375 Flanged are 25 3/4" extractor shoe lump barrels, 1/4 rib with 1 standing & 1 folding rear sights, Westley type spring actuated fold over sight protector with a fold-up night sight, He then installed a single lever QD mount with a 1.25 x 4 Swarovski to the 375 1/4 rib. He installed a forend with a Deeley & Edge type of release. Bradshaw then engraved the 1/4 rib, sight protector and the forend iron. With the 375 barrels it is 10 lbs. 14 oz. and 12 lbs. 1 oz. with the scope installed. The 20 bore barrels are 30" extractor monobloc type at .631 .044 & .039" (Super Full & Super Full), 3" chambers and the forend with a Deeley & Edge type of release. Bradshaw then engraved the rib at the breech and the forend iron. The gun is 7 lbs. 10 oz. with these 20 bore barrels.
