Produced by Harpers Ferry Armory, a total of 2,020 units were manufactured from 1837-1840. Includes ramrod style bayonet and offset iron sights. .64 caliber smoothbore round barrel (23”). Issued to the 2nd U.S. Dragoons. Breechblock marking: J H HALL/ U.S./ 1839

Original brown laquer finish still present on portions of the barrel and frame. Wood stock shows evidence of repair on top at rear of breech.
