His speciality was producing extremely light double barrel "game" guns. This example weighs a mere 6 pounds even, (and that is with 28 inch barrels.) He accomplished this by "Skeletonizing" the buttsock, reducing the forearm to a "dimunitive" size, and using a small round-action frame. He did this without diminishing the quality or reliability of his guns. Turner Lightweights are rare in America, and this one has recently been imported from the UK. Specifications: 12 bore 28 inch fluid steel barrels, choked cyl and modified 2 & 1/2 inch chambers, Nitro proofed for 1&1/8 ounce of shot LOP 14&1/2 from front trigger, 1&3/4 DAC, 2&1/4 DAH Cast-off for right hand shooter Non- ejector Condition: Excellent, as partially re-furbished. Fluid Steel barrels were made and installed by the Turner Factory in 1935. Stock has been refinished, has no checkering. Bores are bright and shiny, near perfect. Locks & hammers are crisp Tight on the face, with or without the fore end attached. Nearly 100 % full coverage tight scroll engraving that remains sharp. 99% original blacking on barrels. This gun would make a superb "vintage" shooter for live game or clays. Price is 2500. Shipping is 50.00 by Fed Ex.
