Description:
Third and final series of colt match target with 4 1/2 inch barrel. This one was manufactured in 1975. Perfect bore, bright and shiny, Elliason target sight, original grips with thumb rest removed, I'm left handed but works fine for rightys too, some blueing loss front and back of grip straps (see pics) the rest is 96% to 97, no rust or pitting anywhere. Comes with 3 original mags, pistol funtions perfectly, feeds ammo perfectly from all three mags.These pistols are really accurate.
If you can find a copy of Gun Digest 1988 there is a great article by Art Beven titled (My 50 years with the colt woodsman) it's about all woodsmans but his favorite is the third series 4 1/2 model. I must say it definitely inspired me to buy this pistol 29 years ago. Time to let someone else enjoy it, you wont be disappointed.
