Description:
This Field Grade L.C. Smith Hunter 12 ga. double was manufactured in 1921. It has been fully reconditioned. Internal lock parts have been polished and work as they should. It has been extensively hand engraved in a custom design. Original stock and fore end have been acetone soaked for oil removal, checkered, chased and pointed to better than original, then given a hand rubbed 21-coat finish, bedded with Acraglas® . Butt stock sports an S.W. Silvers & Co. recoil pad (14.25” LOP), fitted with an engraved steel grip cap. 30” (IM/IM - .028/.028) barrels have been honed, polished and rust blued, new bead sights installed.
No expense has been spared in upgrading this iconic American double. Truly a one-of-a-kind sporting arm.
