Description:
Harrington & Richardson built the 922 Model .22 revolver from 1927 to 1952. During the model run this revolver went thru 7 design changes. This example is a "2nd Variation" and was built in 1931. This was the first design change and consisted of dropping the saw handle style grip in favor of a more ergonomic design. A simple and durable design, these revolvers were popular with trappers and working men all over the country. This H&R style exhibits the high polish blue finish that the pre-war models were known for. It shows some carry and holster wear, but is still an attractive revolver. The action works perfectly in single or double action. There is a small bulge in the barrel at the point where the "&" symbol is stamped into the barrel. The rifling on either side is perfect so it may still shoot well. The cylinder bores are perfect, no pitting or erosion. Might be a great candidate for a rebarrel off a parts gun, or leave as-is. The grips are in great shape and are nice and tight to the frame. This H&R 922 comes with a great looking vintage leather holster that was made for this model that is in excellent condition.
