Description:
Fox CE 12 Gauge Side-by-Side
GORGEOUS WOOD, FULLY RESTORED, FANTASTIC GUN

General Specs: Fox, Year 1909, 12 Gauge, 7lbs 5oz, SxS
Serial Number: 9290

This 1909 vintage Fox was made during the best years of Ansley H. Fox’s ownership, when only the best materials and ultra finished parts were allowed.  Originally an English stocked gun, this gun was re-stocked with magnificent Exhibition grade English walnut by David VandenBrand of West Olive, Michigan.  Dave has worked on fine doubles for decades, and specializes in building guns to the owner’s specifications.  This gun was built for one of his clients years ago, and is now offered to the public for sale.  The gun is fully and professionally restored, with all internal parts inspected, cleaned, and certified in excellent working order.  7 1/4lbs. and balanced dead on the hinge pin, it is a magnificent field gun or great for a go at the sporting clays.  Most shooters go crazy for finely figured wood and English style stocks, so this gun should not last long.  Everything that can be done to a gun to renew it and improve it has been done to this Fox.  From lengthened forcing cones and chambers, to modern stock dimensions, to the historically correct metal finishes, this gun has it all.  It is being offered at a price that would not pay for the stock job and restoration, and there is no wait time.  Great stock dimensions at 14 ¾” LOP to a gorgeous leather covered pad, with 2 ¼” drop at heel, 1 3/8” drop at comb, and ¼” cast off, this gun will appeal to a large crowd, so don’t hesitate to act on this fine Fox.  Thanks for looking!
