Description:
A sterling silver, African Blackwood and gilded 1/8 scale model of a Gribeauval 12 Pounder Cannon is attractively displayed on an ebony wooden base. It is part of a limited edition and is number 8 of 50. It takes just over 3 months to handcraft and has a total of 1489 individual metal and 207 wooden parts.
The barrel is machined, hand engraved with Napoleons crest and then fire gilded to a complete the gold finish. The adjustable sight is made from sterling silver.
The bucket is fully functional and uses the French design which allows the lid to only be opened inwards thereby preventing the lid from being lost in battle.
The ammunition box has a fire gilded copper sheet lid and is fully functional.
The limber has been equiped with a tool box together with its own latch.
A full set of cleaning rods and traverse levers is supplied with the model.
A dust cover can be supplied but due to the extra shipping costs it is recommended that this be bought from a local perspex supplier who can easily manufacture this item.
