Description:
This is what I would call a FN model 98 in a 308 calibire the barrel length is 16inches which I belive will make this a carbine I am guessing it is either old or very rare based on the three didgit serial number. I have no other info apart form it is in extremely good condition.I have just found a little more info on this gun 16 inch K98's In the late 1950's early 1960's FN did contract runs for goverment police agencies mostly in Europe and some of the Banana republic's for the K98 actions with 16 inch barrels in 7.62x51mm. The receivers and barrels are blued for the LE community and some were parked for the Militaries. This one has been blued from what i can tell.
