If you want to start a vigorous debate, ask a group of experienced double gun enthusiasts "what maker builds the finest double shotgun in the world?". There will be a variety of educated opinions with vigorous defenders, but Holland & Holland will be included in the debate. Building fine sporting arms since 1856, there is little doubt that H & H will always land in the top 5 BEST GUN makers in the world. This Royal gun, serial number 40625 built in 1984, is a fine example of their work and is in fine factory condition ready for your shooting needs. The gus have seen use at the pegs, as the previous owner was an avid shooter and a critical shot, so it is a proven gun. It was shipped with 28” barrels and good stock dimensions, see below for details. It is fitted with single triggers, which is a hard-to-find feature for those that prefer single triggers. There are light handling marks on the wood and a few handling marks on the barrels, but no dents or dings and the guns are tight on face and hinge pin like a new gun. The case color and blue are factory original and strong at 98%. Thanks for looking.
