Up for sale today is an outstanding US HRA M1 Garand serial no. 5599494 chambered in caliber .30-06. This outstanding Garand shows the features of a late Arsenal rebuild. The metal parts are in outstanding condition, and the barrel shows a date of “SA 6-64,” a throat erosion reading of 1.75 and a muzzle wear reading of 1. The bore is excellent. The leg of the receiver is marked “RRAD 7-64” indicating rebuild by the Red River Army Depot. An excellent example of a Garand rebuilt by the army, and a great shooter as well.
