Evans Repeating Rifle Company (Mechanic Falls, Maine), ANTIQUE, lever action repeating rifle, "Old Model", caliber .44 Evans centerfire (1" cartridge), EARLY SERIAL NUMBER 112 (appproximately 500 "Old Models" manufactured between 1874 and 1876), barrel length 28", MECHANICALLY EXCELLENT, ONE OF THE FINEST EXAMPLES IN EXISTANCE,
Receiver: 100% original finish covering entire receiver exhibiting light widely scattered tarnish spots (see photo),
Barrel: 28" octagon barrel, full smooth 100% coverage of original blue, virtually no wear on sharp edges of octagon, BRIGHT MINT BORE, rear tang peep sight, dovetailed front blade sight
Trigger guard: retains 100% of original NICKEL exhibiting a few scattered tarnish spots (see photo),
Stock: retains 100% of original varnish exhibiting normal handling/storage marks (see photo),
