The Ruger Gold Label side by side shotgun was only made for a total of 3 years from 2004 to 2006, with total production somewhere around 3300 made. It is not often that we encounter one of these at all, much less in excellent condition and complete with the original box, etc. Here at A&M Inc. we had them on order the entire time that they were listed as available in their catalog and we received a grand total of 1!! We now have our second "like new in the box" Gold Label more than 10 years after the end of production. This example has an English (straight) grip stock and the standard 28" inch barrels, solid rib, choke tubes, ejectors, and a single selectable trigger. The stock set on this Ruger is particularly pretty with lots of figure in the buttstock. These American made double shotguns are extremely hard to find, and this one is minty! The original high gloss factory blue finish rates 99% plus and shows no signs of being carried or fired. The bores are perfect; bright and clean with no pits, dents, or other defects. Everything works 100% like the day it left the Ruger factory. It comes complete with the original box, owners manual, gun lock, all the choke tubes, choke wrench, and even the plastic bags it was shipped in. It is said that Ruger lost money on every single Gold Label they made due to the high costs of making such a high end shotgun and the relatively low price point they had set for it, and that is why the production run was cut short. If you have been looking for an American made double barrel that you can be proud to carry in the field, this Ruger Gold Label would be an excellent choice. It is also likely a wise investment for any gun collection given the outstanding condition of this example, and the high levels of demand we are seeing for this discontinued low-production factory shotgun.
