Description:
Sniper version of the No. 4 Mark 1 rifle. It is fitted with scope mounts on the left side of the receiver and a wooden cheekpiece screwed to the buttstock. A No. 32 telescope was issued with this rifle. This rifle was produced by the Savage Arms Co. Chicopee MA and was converted to the "T" sniping configuration in England by Holland and Holland during the mid-war period of WWll along side those No. 4 Mk 1 (T)s suppolied by BSA, Shirley and are therefore marked "S51" at the base of the pistol-grip. This is a rare rifle in very good condition with the correct scope, scope metal box and wooden box.
