One of the finest known and probably the best extent example of the “BALL & CLAW” Remington cane gun which is the rarest style. First time on the market since the 1960’s and formerly in Bill Florence Remington Collection and the Herb Keller Remington Collection.. 33” overall with .31 caliber rifled bore. Serial numbered on the steel muzzle cap “193” and maker marked beneath “J.F. THOMAS PATENT/FEBY 9, 1858/E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, N.Y.”. Superb condition with no breaks or repairs and in working order. Bore with good rifling. Extra rare with very fine collection provenance.
