SUPERB CIVIL WAR REMINGTON-RIDER D.A. .36 CAL. FLUTED CYLINDER BELT REVOLVER CA. 1863-65. 6 shot with 6 ½” octagon barrel addressed “MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS ILION, N.Y./RIDER’S PT. AUG. 17, 1858 MAY 5, 1859”. 100% original and all matching in the 7xx serial range. Rare early production with fluted cylinder only made during the Civil War. Little used and looks unfired with mint bore and chambers. Perfect nipples and like new working order. 90% blue with balance a dark plum blue-brown storage patina. 95% case colors on the hammer. Excellent screws with nearly all the blue and near mint walnut grips with all the finish. Top old Remington Collection provenance and not on market for 40 plus years. Less than 1000 made. Outstanding example.
