When John Olin wanted to have title to the strongest side by side shotgun in the world, he went to work and got it done. The Model 21 is an American icon with a well-deserved reputation. A strikingly handsome gun with the finest steels, gunners in the know have utilized this Winchester in the field and at the club to shoot thousands of rounds without failure. IF YOU LIKE HEAVY LOADS FOR PHEASANTS OR OTHER TOUGH GAME, THIS IS THE GUN. Most double gun enthusiasts are keenly aware of the reputation earned by the Winchester Model 21; a gun of mechanical genius that was under the micro management of John Olin himself. With only 30,000 produced (compared to 250,000 Parkers!), any high condition Model 21 is a valuable, investment quality firearm. This fine M21 Field Grade, sn20279 built in 1948, is a great example of a vintage gun with the very best of modern day shooting features. With perfect mirror bores, barrels tight as new on the hinge pin and breech face, crisp single selective trigger, strong well timed ejectors, great shooting dimensions, and the factory vent rib, it is choked perfect for sporting clays or upland birds…even waterfowl over decoys…a very versatile Winchester M21. There are no cracks or repairs in the wood, the mechanics and screws are perfect, all ready for the highest volume, heaviest loads you would ever want to feed into a shotgun.
