1974 is the year we opened Antique & Modern Firearms and the year this Detective Special was made. The 3rd Issue variation was produced from 1973 to 1986, and was the first variation to have the shrouded ejector rod and the larger grips. This revolver has some high edge blue wear and some blue loss on the back-strap but still retains over 90% of its original blue. The bore and the action are perfect.
