For sale, a beautiful Ruger Government Model Mark II Target pistol with the original box and owner's manuals. This Ruger Mk2 Target model is in excellent overall condition and has been fired very little. It was manufactured in 1989 and has spent most of the last 2 decades in storage after the original purchaser passed away. This Target Model came with adjustable target sights and a 6 and 7/8ths long bull barrel. This example retains 98%+ of the original factory blue finish. It shows no signs of carry or wear and the only flaw we can find on it is on the right side of the receiver below the rear sight and on the right side of the rear sight itself. It looks like someone tried to tap the rear sight over to the left and somehow managed to hit the sight and the receiver, marring and scratching the finish in both places. You can see this in the close up photo I took of this area. Other than that, the pistol is essentially flawless and that little spot does not detract much from the attractive appearance of this Mark II Target. The bore is perfect and bright in this Ruger. The rifling is sharp and there are no signs of corrosion or erosion of any kind. The black checkered plastic grips are also in excellent shape. They are free from cracks or repairs, and they show no signs of wear or carry. Everything on this pistol works 100% like the day it left the Ruger factory. This beautiful Mark II Target comes complete with the original box and both owners manuals. The Mark II Target pistols by Ruger are considered one of the best .22 pistol designs ever made. They are durable and accurate, and when kept even moderately clean they are very reliable. They have developed quite the collector's following over the years, and the Mark II Targets are probably the most sought after of the Mark II variations. This pistol would be an excellent addition to any collection and could be shot without harming it's value. REDUCED!
