Description:
Holland & Holland Magazine Rifle .375 Magnum
TAKEDOWN, DOCUMENTED, MAUSER ACTION, 99%

General Specs: Holland & Holland, Year 1955, .375 Rimless Magnum, 8lbs 2oz, Bolt Rifle
Serial Number: 2440

What a privilege to be able to bring to market a near new Holland & Holland Magazine Sporting Rifle built in 1955 on a Mauser action complete with full factory documentation, original factory leather case, accessories, and in near new condition.  This fine rifle, sn2440, chambered for the world renowned .375 Holland & Holland Magnum Rimless cartridge, is the epitome of class and prestige in the world of dangerous game and hunting the dark continent.  Equally at home in pursuit of North America’s largest game animals, including the great bears, moose, and elk, this rifle is one of a very small number built as a “take-down” style rifle so that it may travel in the beautiful leather case that H & H made specifically for this gun.  This is a highly desirable rifle and in beautiful, factory original condition with only the slightest amount of wear on the gun, including the expanded magazine 4 cartridge capacity floor plate.   The gun shows little to no use, and is essentially as new in all ways.  The factory pad is rock hard and if you would like we will install a genuine Silvers pad from England on the gun so the recoil pad is functional.  We have the exact same pad as the original in stock.  There have been no alterations to the gun since it left the factory.  The factory supplied leather case is in excellent condition and comes with what looks to be a Huey Case Co. protective canvas cover.  The factory supplied cleaning accessories, maker’s label, cartridge charge cards, etc. are all intact and in the case.  The top exterior of the case is embossed with the original owner’s name “Major J.G. Defina”.  We are offering this treasure at a very affordable price considering its pristine condition, desirable features, and today’s replacement costs.  Thanks for looking!
