Offered is a S&W New Departure also referred to as the .38 Safety Hammerless Second Model double action and was only manufactured from 1887 to 1890. It is in the far scarcer high polish factory blue. The gun remains in very high condition with most of the wear being on the cylinder. The frame retains 95-96% of the high polish finish with just a few small marks that do not detract from it’s overall appearance. The action is perfect and the bore is excellent. The gun is chambered in the very popular .38 S&W cartridge. The barrel length is 3 1/4”. The factory original box remains in very good condition with solid corners and all of it label. This is an amazing piece for a gun that is 125 years old and would fit the best collections. I offer a three day non firing inspection period and always want the buyer to be satisfied with their purchase. The gun will be packed correctly and shipped via FedEx Air with insurance directly to you in the continental United States for $45 (California is extra because I have to ship through my local dealer). This gun is classified as an Antique and does not require a license for transfer. I ship the following day after the payment arrives and provide tracking information.
