Description:
Colt,   "ANTIQUE",   percussion revolver,   Model 1851 Navy,   caliber .36,   s/n 64 (ALL MATCHING 1st GENERATION COLT PARTS),   THIS RARE COLLECTIBLE REVOLVER WAS ASSEMBLED FROM ORIGINAL COLT 1ST GENERATION MARTIAL PARTS PURCHASED FROM COLT AND ASSEMBLED BY W. STOKES-KIRK OF PHILADELPHIA, PA c. 1945 (GOOGLE STOKES-KIRK FOR INTERESING BACKGROUND),

INTERESTINGLY, THIS REVOLVER WAS ASSEMBLED WITH A RARE FIRST GENERATION SECOND MODEL SQUARE BACK TRIGGER GUARD WITH THE SCREW ABOVE THE WEDGE.  I'M TOLD THIS MAY BE THE ONLY STOKES-KIRK WITH THIS FEATURE.

Last privaetly purchased during 1965 in Bucks County, PA,   blue is in ORIGINAL 98% condition as are grips,   case coloring on frame has developed a nice patina with age,   roll marking of Texas naval battle with Mexico on cylinder is 100% crisp and clear,   Serial numbers of the Stokes-Kirk guns range from 1 to 120 and not all survive,   Information on these revolvers can be found on page 131 of Sutherland's "The Book of Colt Firearms" and this revolver is one of them listed,

THIS IS A KNOWN AND RESPECTED COLT COLLECTIBLE AND IS SPECIFICALLY LISTED BY SERIAL NUMBER (64) AS ONE OF THE KNOWN STOKES-KIRK COLT'S GUNS IN SUTHERLAND'S BOOK OF COLT FIREARMS,   TECHNICALLY NOT A REPRODUCTION,   EMPLOYING THE USE OF ORIGINAL COLT FACTORY FIRST GENERATION PARTS PURCHASED DIRECTLY FROM COLT,   THIS IS HOW THE GUNS LOOKED WHEN THEY WERE FIRST MANUFACTURED IN THE 1850'S,   OWN AN HISTORICALLY INTERESTING AND IMPORTANT "REAL" COLT IN AMAZING CONDITION,    ARGUABLY THE FINEST STOKES-KIRK EXTANT (ONE SOLD AT RECENTLY IN MUCH LESSER CONDITION FOR $13.000),   Retail value $15,000.00,   Sale priced at $10,995

We cater to first time GI buyers. Don't worry, we are real.  We provide our phone number as part of our response to your first inquiry.  You can purchase from us with total ease and confidence. We will guide you through the purchasing process if need be. We are a Platinum dealer and Verified Seller on GI having placed over 3500  listings so far.  GI is the only site on which we advertise.

We strive to describe all our sale items accurately and fully and include professional quality photos of each one.  Although we offer a 3-day, no questions asked, return policy it has rarely been used the entire 56 years (since 1960) we have been in business under the same ownership.

The first potential buyer who states that he definitely wants an item gets it. Those having questions who do not definitely commit to purchase in their first inquiry will have their questions answered but may lose the sale if another buyer e-mails after they do and definitely commits to purchase before we can get back to the first inquirer to answer their questions. This happens almost daily and disappoints a lot of people. If you see something you want- state a definite committment to buy it. You will not be disappointed.
