Description:
I am not certain that these are Talley but they appear to be. Satin finish. (Some of the smudges in the photos are from my camera - the rings themselves are in excellent condition. They consist of a front extension base and a regular rear base, and vertically split 1 " rings. The rings lock the scope with 2 screws at the bottom of the rings so that the scope can be removed with the rings intact, and then replaced with no loss of zero. No need to reassemble the rings. The bases have 2 recoil shoulders in them, one being the main shoulder which runs the width of the base , and another one that is machined into the center of the base, thus making this mount one of the strongest available. The clamp that attaches the ring to the base is spring loaded to the open position by 2 springs to assist in loosening the mount, and has an adjustable insert screw in the main clamping screw which can be adjusted to limit the amount of distance the base screw can be loosened (which prevents the base screw from being lost). As Bill Ruger once said of a design engineer, "This guy knew what he was doing".
