Description:
Winchester Model 1886 Rifle .38-56 WCF. Features a 26" octagon barrel with full-length magazine tube, iron sights and newer butt-stock wood. Serial Number: 73457, giving it a 1891 manufacture date. The newer butt-stock wood look's to have been done 10, 15 or 20 years ago, and is in very good with some very minor scratches. The forend wood appears to be original to the rifle and shows numerous scratches and dings but no cracks. The metal is in patina state throughout, save for the loading gate assembly which has some blue finish remaining. The rifle's bore is greyed from chamber to muzzle but there are no deep pits within.
