Manufactured in 1977-78, this 5 inch nickel plated .357 Magnum is in pristine condition, and in fact, appears to be unfired. The five inch barrels were discontinued in 1979, so this is one of the more rare/desirable configurations. The Model 27 was considered to be the finest .357 Magnum revolver of the period and certainly the equivilent of the Colt Python. This Smith 27 is also fitted with a target hammer, target trigger, and very nice looking factory checkered Coco Bolo wood grips with S&W medallions. A very good looking S&W.
