Description: Winchester Model 12 12 Gauge Shotgun BLACK DIAMOND TRAP, 12 GAUGE, DUCK BILL VENT RIB; FACTORY ORIGINAL General Specs: Winchester, Year 1926, 12 Gauge, 8lbs 7oz, Pump Shotgun Serial Number: 464853 The Winchester Model 12 was a famed gun on the trap fields and one many National Championships. Known throughout the world as the very finest pump action shotgun ever made, these guns were hand fitted and machined to perfection. The Trap Grade was a special gun, with deluxe, high figured wood, fine 28LPI hand cut checkering, large special checkered forend, and tuned to be smooth as glass in operation. The butt stock had a black diamond inlay just behind the receiver, hence the name “BLACK DIAMOND TRAP”. This fine Winchester Model 12, sn464853 made in 1926, is in factory original condition and has been well cared for during its 9 decades of use. There is the expected wear to the blue and wood, but no rust, pits, dings, cracks, or gouges anywhere on the gun. The action is still tight and operates smoothly, 30” Full choke barrel has mirror perfect bores and duck bill, 2 pin vent rib, English style stock is nicely figured and measures 13 7/8” to the Winchester pad, all to factory specs. What a great gun for waterfowl, long pheasants, and the fine game of trap, and a collectible Winchester to boot. The gun will continue to gain value as you enjoy its use. Thanks for looking.
